Urban Monk is a really wonderful website to go to for those looking for self-development and his blog has really helped me a lot. He said:

"This is my favourite definition of the word Karma – until we can become aware of our past, aware enough to choose, we unconsciously have to relive it again and again."

This was about acknowledging your guilt and realizing that under the circumstances back then, you really had no other choice but to do what you had to do. You were powerless. The choice you made was a cultivation of your past all leading up to that point.
