Blocked Websites At Work

Today my workplace just blocked a few more websites including all the popular emails like hotmail and gmail. We're pretty notorious when it comes to blocking as we even got rid of Communicator, an internal communications program that allows employees to chat. Sadness. This actually made working a lot harder. Anyway, I think the company's being too strict about this. I'm still a firm believer that as long as you get your work done with quality then it shouldn't really matter. Many big organizations like the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and companies like Central still uses MSN Messenger. The United Nations also has their own chat program. I think the bigger the company is, the more essential these programs are in correspondence actually. Otherwise, we just resort to emailing back and forth which will eventually clog up the inbox. Now, I keep getting these annoying messages that my mailbox quota is exceeding all the time.

Anyway, they decided to be more strict about this because company statistics show that people spent 20% of their time on these "top 20" websites listed below. I've actually never heard of most of these websites! Although I'm as guilty for blogging, I'm glad that they didn't block Blogger.
